Brian Gelt

Brian Gelt joined Canfield in January of 2011 as Vice President responsible for the Company's due diligence, entitlement, and construction activities. In addition, he assists the Executive Team in land acquisitions and feasibility underwriting.

Brian started his career in 2001 estimating and managing commercial construction projects for Lusardi Construction Company. He then worked for Jackson Pendo Development managing the entitlement and construction processes of infill residential development projects. He continued his career at other privately-held residential and commercial development companies managing hotel repositions, entitling a retail center, and advancing the Specific Plan and EIR on a 5,000 acre master planned community.

Brian earned a bachelor's degree in City Planning as a scholarship football player from San Diego State University. Brian holds a California Real Estate Broker's license, a California B Contractor's license and a Certificate in Real Estate Finance from UCLA Extension. In addition, Brian is currently pursuing a Masters of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the University of Southern California on a part-time basis.

Brian is active in USC's Graduate of Real Estate Association, National Association of Home Builders, and Urban Land Institute.
